Tsukishima
I went on another day trip with Mr. Hara, my mother’s friend. This time we went to Tsukishima and surrounding areas. I got some really expensive and famous ‘tsukudani’ which is seafood boiled down in soy sauce. I saw an old part of Tokyo that was not destroyed in WWII, as well as a traditional Japanese garden.

That stone looks like a shark mouse.
Comment by Eiji — 6/28/2006 @ 9:49 amspeaking of sharks, did anybody tell you what happened in your house’s fish tank?
Comment by Ken — 6/28/2006 @ 3:06 pmNo…. please explain.
Comment by Andy — 6/28/2006 @ 4:30 pmWhen Erika and Emily were looking at the fish tank, the large bala shard (4 inches) swam hard against the wall of the tank and fell to the bottom. A school of serpae tetra then gathered around in a circle around the shark lying at the bottom. The shark did not recover.
The shark had been swimming wildly around and hitting things in the tank and uprooting plants for a while. I suppose it hit the wall too hard this time. Strangely, the other bala shark died shortly afterward.
Comment by louis — 6/29/2006 @ 9:10 amIt wasn’t just lying at the bottom, it was convlusing wildly for about 24 hours. and for about an hour after slamming into the wall it convulsed and swam upside down and we couldn’t get it to flip over. And i wasn’t looking at the tank, Emily and Liz were. Emily had JUST told liz that "sometimes the swim and hit the walls” when BAM! And then Liz looked at a cat and it hissed at her. Maybe animals don’t like her..
